A Coronavirus Update

Hey Everyone,

I've had a few inquiries about how we're running things during the shutdown period so just wanted to give you all a quick update. Many of you will know that I live onsite so I have the capacity to continue working...I'm not bursting my isolation bubble. Our staff are on leave and our suppliers are no longer delivering so not everything is possible, but I do have enough resin and gelcoat to build a few yaks so if you have something in mind I should be able to help out. Here's a few points...

  • We have enough resin to build 3 kayaks.
  • We currently have purple, grey, orange, red, light blue, royal blue clear, black, and white gelcoat in stock so kayaks in these combinations are possible.
  • We cannot ship any of the kayaks currently as they're not considered essential freight. We have plenty of storage so can keep it safe and sound until restrictions are lifted.
  • We can do repairs if you can get the kayak to us. If you're out doing an essential supplies run, you could drop the kayak off along the way. I'm not suggesting you break the lockdown so this is only suitable for people in the Tauranga /Mt. Maunganui area. We have a trailer located outside at 4 Kittyhawk Way, Mt. Maunganui which you can leave the yak on. Please get in contact with me if you want to do this so we can talk through what needs to be done.

If you have any questions or would simple like to chat I'd love to hear from you. I can talk all day about yaks so please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Cheers,
Tim Taylor
Owner of Ruahine Kayaks.
